We are excited to announce that Callahan Eye has merged with NewView Eye Center. If you are a patient at Callahan Eye, your medical records have been securely transferred to NewView Eye Center. Don’t worry: you can still receive eye care from Dr. Claiborne M. Callahan and you can continue visiting her Leesburg office. There will be no interruption to your current eye care or the appointments you have set up.
So why the merger? This agreement will allow patients of both practices to have access to more advanced technologies and treatments – an overall better care experience.

Jacqueline Deneen Griffiths, MD, is the Medical Director of NewView Eye Center. She and her friendly staff are available to provide care, if needed, to enhance, preserve and protect your vision. Her office is located at 12110 Sunset Hills Road, Suite 50 LL, in Reston, VA.

I am writing to share some important news with you. As of April 17, 2023, I will be merging my ophthalmology practice with another practice called New View Eye Center. This decision was not made lightly, but after much consideration. We believe it will enable us to provide you with even better care and access to more advanced technology and treatments.
New View Eye Center is based in Reston, VA however I will continue to see patients in my Leesburg office, 20 Davis Ave SW, and may still be reached at the same phone number, 703-777-1244. Rest assured that your medical records and information will be securely transferred to the new practice, and your care will continue uninterrupted.
At New View Eye Center, you can expect the same personalized attention and high-quality care that you have come to know from my practice. You will also have access to a wider range of services and resources that the new practice has to offer. Meet Our Doctors
Jacqueline Deneen Griffiths, M.D.
Medical Director & Ophthalmologist
Dr. Griffiths earned her undergraduate degree at Yale and her medical degree from the University of Michigan. Her ophthalmology residency was completed at Georgetown University Medical Center.
Dr. Griffiths has been in private practice since 1994. She started her own practice, NewView Eye Center, in 1999 where she serves as the Medical Director. NewView’s Mission is to provide excellence in ophthalmologic services by giving personalized attention to every patient.
Claiborne M. Callahan, MD
Staff Ophthalmologist
A native of Leesburg, VA, Dr. Callahan graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in 1996. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Tulane University in 2004.
Prior to joining New View Eye Center, Dr. Callahan was in private practice in Virginia, Florida and Alabama. Her knowledge, experience and patient-centered focus allow her to spend quality time with each patient to diagnose, educate and treat them. She understands that patients have a choice with whom to entrust their eye care needs, and she prides herself on adhering to the highest ethical standards in the practice of medicine.
Sukhjinder Kandola, OD
Staff Optometrist
Dr. Kandola earned her optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Elkins Park, PA. Dr. Kandola trained and provided eye care at The Eye Institute Clinic at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA. Her training included rotations at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, PA, where she had the opportunity to provide full scope optometric care to veterans. Her specialties and interests include providing comprehensive eye care, glaucoma management, diabetic eye care, pre and post op management, and contact lens fitting and evaluation.
